Have a question? We have an answer!

Check out some of the most frequently asked questions we get below.

Q: How much does it cost for an inspection and estimate?

A: We offer free inspections. When you call us, we’ll schedule a time that works for you to set up your appointment. Then, an inspector will come out, evaluate your issue, and explain the problems you’re facing in an easy-to-understand way. In most cases, the inspector will leave a written repair estimate for your waterproofing, concrete leveling, or foundation problem.

Q: Can you give me a ballpark price on my foundation repair, waterproofing project, or concrete leveling project?

A: Each home and situation is unique, That’s why we offer free estimates on every project—to ensure you get the most accurate assessment possible for your commercial or residential repairs.

Q: My floors seem uneven, should I have the foundation repaired before I lay down new flooring?

A: If foundation issues are the cause of your uneven floors, you should absolutely have it repaired before putting down new flooring. If your new floors are installed before the foundation is fixed, you’re likely just going to encounter the same problems again. You can talk to our team to schedule a free estimate before starting on your new floors, so you’ll know whether or not settlement is the source of your issue.

The manufacturers we work with work hard to ensure the products they create are installed correctly, so our installers have many years or experience and training to make sure every product is installed to perform as intended by the producer.

A: Our main office is located at 1503 Old Mount Tabor Rd, Maryville, TN 37801.

A: We pride ourselves on being driven by the quality of our work, not the number of projects we can complete. Our inspectors aren’t salesmen—they’re trained on the knowledge of the products we use and to understand why certain issues occur. A: It would be best if the block or brick wall was exposed for inspection. If you’re not sure as to where or how much, one of our inspectors can come out to evaluate the problem areas and recommend which areas of the floor, paneling, or drywall should be removed for a proper, thorough inspection.

Q: Can I just pick up the materials at Home Depot or Lowe's and repair this stuff myself?

A: A version of the products we use may or may not be available at your local home improvement store. However, not all products are created equally. Our products are warrantied solutions because they’re engineer-tested and approved for efficacy and safety. Plus, our installers have many years of experience and training, so the products we install are sure to perform as designed.

Q: Do you waterproof the inside or outside of the basement?

A: At American Foundation & Waterproofing our technicians can waterproof both the exterior basement wall and the interior of the basement. An interior basement waterproofing system is the only way to guarantee a dry basement, and it comes with our life of structure transferable warranty.

Q: Is the work you perform on my home going to tear up my yard?

A: This is dependent on the type of repair needed. American Foundation & Waterproofing will take care to do as little damage as is possible, however, some repairs can be destructive to the yard. When the repair is complete, our team will re-grade, seed and hay any adversely affected areas.
